Our Love  Story

The most humbling stories are surrendered to a Divine ink.

Anthony and Nova Thirdy discovered that the most profound Yes was found in the quiet space where two souls start looking toward the Creator.

In September 2023, the 1st Mindanao Singles 30’s Up Conference in Davao City was filled with the hum of service and camaraderie. Anthony was tucked away in ministry, a faithful worker in his corner of the vineyard; Nova Thirdy was nearby, a heart wide open to the Spirit’s movement. They were two lives blooming in separate gardens, nourished by the same Grace, yet they remained perfect strangers. They didn’t need to find one another then; they only needed to find Him

The transition from strangers to companions started with a steady, humble glow. After a few months of simple friendship in mid-2024, the world went silent again. From late 2024 to early 2025, Nova Thirdy stepped into the "State of Life Discernment" (SOLD), cutting off all communication to ensure her heart belonged to God alone before it could ever belong to another.

As February 2025 arrived and Nova stepped back into the world, the prayer she shared with Anthony felt less like a discovery and more like a long-awaited confirmation from the Father. Without having spoken for months, they had been praying the same words:

"Lord, grant me a companion who seeks Your face above all else and that together, we may walk closer to You and offer our lives in unified service."On April 1, 2025, a day the world reserves for pranks and pretenses, they chose a radical sincerity. Backed by the blessing of their parents, the relationship became official..

For 93 intentional days, they laid their relationship at the feet of the Father through marriage discernment. They wanted to ensure that their "Yes" to one another was a resounding "Yes" to God's calling. This season of prayer culminated on November 18, 2025, when the question was finally asked, and the promise was sealed that they were moving from discernment to a lifetime vow.

Their love was forged on the winding 160-kilometer stretch between Davao del Sur and Bukidnon. They learned that distance is never a barrier when you are following a lead greater than your own. Every mile was a lesson in patience; every arrival was a gift of Providence.

Today, their lives may look much as they did before: still serving, still praying, still working, but their perspective has shifted forever. They found a teammate for the Kingdom.

The most beautiful chapters are those we don’t write ourselves. Anthony and Nova’s story is defined by the peace of knowing that every long road, every season of discernment, and every shared prayer was precisely drawn by the Master’s hand as a blueprint of Grace that bears only God’s signature.
