Our Love  Story

Rhoda first remembered August as a new member of the Adelphos Choir, back in the days before she left the group. Life carried them in different directions, and for years they matured separately, each gathering experiences that shaped who they would become.

In 2020, after the pandemic, Rhoda felt called to return to church service and rejoin the Adelphos Choir. The group had changed—new faces filled the seats—August remained not just a member but already the Maestro.

Rhoda noticed August quiet, sometimes aloof demeanor, even teasing him for being nonchalant and occasionally masungit.

Their relationship began simply: choirmaster and choir member. Yet, little by little, familiarity grew into fondness. Rhoda, knowing August’s love for coffee, offered him herbal blends. August, in turn, invited her for coffee dates, though she often declined.

What began with coffee soon expanded into shared physical activities. Both enjoyed running, and they became partners on the track, pacing each other through miles and conversations. August made himself available in small but meaningful ways—like picking Rhoda up from work—gestures that spoke louder than words.

By December 24, 2024, during the choir’s Adeste Fideles presentation, August’s devotion culminated in a heartfelt proposal.

Now, after four years of love, laughter, and partnership, Rhoda and August stand ready to embrace the next chapter. With God’s blessing, they choose a lifetime together—built on faith, friendship, and the quiet beauty of a love that grew from music, coffee, and shared steps along the way.

A love to lasts a lifetime, entrusted to God.
