Our Love  Story

Charm and Eleazar’s story is a beautiful reminder that God truly makes everything beautiful in His perfect time.

Long before they became a couple, their paths had already been quietly intertwined in ways they never expected. In 2019, they were introduced through church and mutual connections, but even before they personally became close, Charm had already formed a friendship with Eleazar’s family, especially his mother and siblings.Through the stories shared by his family, Charm slowly began to know more about Eleazar long before they truly spent time together. She admired how kind-hearted, hardworking, and selfless he was, especially in the way he loved and provided for his family. Even from those simple stories alone, she saw a man with a genuine heart and strong values.

One lighthearted moment would later become unforgettable in their story. Eleazar’s younger brother casually revealed that his kuya had a crush on Charm. At the time, it seemed like a simple and harmless confession, but unknowingly, it became one of the very first glimpses of a love story that God was already writing behind the scenes.

What made their journey even more special was discovering that they had once studied at the same college years before officially getting to know one another. They may have unknowingly crossed paths long before they ever imagined they would eventually end up together.

Although they first met in 2019, it was only in 2021 when they truly had the opportunity to spend time together and get to know each other personally. What started as simple coffee dates slowly turned into deep and meaningful conversations. One memorable coffee trip in Tagaytay became a turning point, where they realized how naturally comfortable and connected they felt with each other.

In 2023, God unexpectedly aligned their timing. Eleazar’s deployment at sea was postponed, allowing more opportunities for them to spend time together. Around the same time, Charm was welcomed more closely into Eleazar’s family gatherings. One evening over coffee, their story quietly shifted from friendship into something more intentional and sincere. Not long after, Eleazar formally asked permission from Charm’s parents before pursuing her seriously — something deeply meaningful and rare in today’s generation. With patience, prayer, and genuine intentions, their relationship steadily grew.

By 2024, Charm finally said “yes.”

Then in 2025, they became engaged — a beautiful answer to years of waiting, praying, and trusting God’s perfect timing.

Their love story became even more meaningful because they are each other’s first love. Eleazar became Charm’s first boyfriend, and Charm became Eleazar’s first girlfriend. It was also Eleazar’s first time personally courting someone, and Charm’s first experience of someone sincerely asking permission from her parents before entering a relationship.

As a nurse and a seaman, they lived different lives and carried different responsibilities, yet God perfectly orchestrated every step that led them back to one another. Their story reflects quiet faith, intentional love, humility, and grace — much like the story of Ruth and Boaz, where Boaz noticed Ruth’s character and sincerity, and Ruth faithfully walked in humility, obedience, and trust in God’s leading. In His perfect design, God brought two people together with pure intentions and a love grounded in respect and purpose.

Through every season, they learned that genuine love is never rushed. It is prayed for, prepared by God, and revealed at the right moment.

“And the Lord says: I will make it happen at the right time.” — Isaiah 60:22

Indeed, He made everything beautiful in His time.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
