Our Love  Story

Jacob and Gelai grew up as independent individuals. They were used to doing things on their own, yet they always valued and appreciated the people who supported them along the way. 

Twenty years later, fate brought Jacob and Gelai back into each other’s lives. Through Facebook, a simple connection turned into the beginning of a meaningful friendship. 

Their busy schedules made things challenging. One would send a message at 5 PM, and the reply would come at midnight. Slowly, the connection they were trying to build faded as responsibilities took over.

Then the pandemic happened. While the world slowed down and people stayed home, Jacob and Gelai found the chance to reconnect. This time, they truly enjoyed each other’s company. Months passed, and their friendship grew deeper—until Jacob finally confessed his feelings to Gelai. 

On January 1, 2021, Jacob and Gelai became a couple. Since then, they have celebrated each other’s achievements and supported one another through every step. They found joy in the simple things—traveling, eating out, cooking together, walking their dogs, and watching movies. They were grateful to discover how much they had in common. 

Like any couple, they faced challenges. But no matter what came their way, they always chose each other. They talked things through, learned from every experience, and grew stronger together. 

Years have passed, and now they stand ready to begin a new chapter—getting married, promising to listen, to grow, and to love each other even more, especially during life’s toughest moments.

Your Questions Answered

  • RSVP

    As much as we would love to accommodate all our friends and family, we have a limited number of guests. Please understand that this event is strictly by invitation only. Guests not found on the guest list provided will not be allowed to enter. 



    The favor of a reply is required on or before May 20, 2026.

  • What time should we arrive?

    Please be there at exactly 2:00 P.M. Kindly consider the traffic and travel time.

  • Can I bring a plus one?

    Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list and are unable to accommodate additional guests. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

  • Can I bring my kid?

    While we truly adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration so everyone can relax and fully enjoy the evening. The only children attending are those who are part of the entourage or were specifically requested. We would love to have you at our wedding, but we understand that there are circumstances beyond our control. 

  • Can I sit anywhere at the reception?

    We have arranged  seating for everyone's convenience and to ensure you are seated with familiar company. Our coordinators will be happy to assist you in finding your designated seat.

  • Where do I park?

    There is a parking lot at the church. For the reception, you may park in the nearest available parking area.


  • How long is the travel time from church to reception venue?

    Usual travel time is 20–25 minutes.

  • When can I leave?

    The program is estimated to last until 9:00 P.M., and we truly hope you can stay until the end to celebrate with us. If you need to leave earlier, we would love the chance to personally thank you and say goodbye before you go, preferably after the same-day edit video has been shown.
