Our Love Story
Our story began in 2018, during my SK journey — a season full of dreams, responsibilities, and unexpected beginnings.
I first noticed Jaymart during my campaign period. He was 23 years old then, yet there was something so innocent about him. I remember seeing him playing with a ball inside their house — carefree, simple, almost like a high school boy. It was just a small moment, but somehow, it stayed with me.
On May 14, 2018, the election results were announced, and I was blessed to win as SK Kagawad. To celebrate our town fiesta, our chairman and the SK officials came to our house — and Jaymart was with them. We didn’t talk much that day. In fact, he simply ate and ran. 😅 I never imagined that the quiet boy from that afternoon would one day become my forever.
A few months later, he messaged me on Facebook. What started as simple conversations slowly became something more. We took our time getting to know each other. No pressure. No rush. Just genuine connection.
Whenever we had SK sessions, he somehow always knew — even when I didn’t tell him. Later, I found out some of the SK officials were his friends. Before every session ended, he would wait and offer to take me home or to the terminal. At that time, he didn’t even own a motorcycle, yet he would borrow one just to make sure I got home safely.
It wasn’t about grand gestures. It was about effort. Consistency. Care.
I found myself amazed by him — by the way he showed up quietly, by the way he made sure I was safe, by the way he made everything feel easy. That’s when I decided I wanted to know him better.
One day, he asked if we could attend Mass together. I said yes. When he picked me up at our house, my mama saw him and jokingly said, “Finally, nakahiling ka naman ibang lalaki!” — words we still laugh about today. We went to the Basilica Church, and even his friend Cha was there. It was simple, but it was meaningful.
From that first innocent glance, to borrowed motorcycles, to shared prayers and quiet conversations, our love grew naturally and gently.
From strangers…
to friends…
to each other’s safe place.
And now, years later, we stand hand in hand — choosing each other not just for today, but for a lifetime. 🤍💍
