How It All Began
Jemcee and Joy are churchmates. At first, Jemcee was just a familiar face to Joy—she didn’t even know his name or recognize him clearly, only that he seemed familiar.
Their first clear encounter happened during a spiritual strengthening retreat organized by their church, when Jemcee jokingly mimicked Joy’s "paos" voice, making her laugh.
Their friendship gradually blossomed through shared moments at church—attending worship services, participating in ministry activities, and joining fellowship events. Over time, they became comfortable around each other, sharing laughs, encouragement, and spiritual insights. Joy admired Jemcee’s unwavering commitment to God, his patience, and his genuine thoughtfulness, not just toward her but toward everyone in their church community.
Through these experiences, what started as a simple acquaintance grew into a deep and meaningful friendship rooted in faith, trust, and shared devotion to God’s work. They discovered a mutual respect and support that strengthened both their spiritual journeys and their personal connection.
In their hearts, both knew that they had found in each other the kind of person they wanted to settle down with and build a life together.

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
