Our Love  Story

Our story began in 2023, in the most ordinary place, at work.

She had just joined HC Global. Since we were a small group in the office, we would often see each other during breaks, casually talking with colleagues. At first, I only noticed her from a distance. Honestly, my first impression? She looked a little intimidating. She had this serious aura that made me think she might be a bit strict.

But sometimes, the most beautiful stories begin with the most unexpected first impressions.

The very first time I messaged her wasn’t smooth or romantic at all - I asked her for chocolate from her desk. Yes, that was my grand strategy to get her attention. And from that simple conversation, something started to grow.

As days passed, we talked more. We got to know each other better. Then our colleagues found out that we were both single - and that’s when the teasing began. We worked in different departments, but somehow, people kept connecting our names together.

What they didn’t know was… I was already starting to fall.

Everything changed during our company’s 10th anniversary celebration at Okada Hotel. That night, she was breathtaking. I gathered the courage to ask her to take a photo with me on stage - just the two of us. Then I even asked if I could post her on my story. When she said yes, something inside me became braver.

I knew I wanted to pursue her. I just needed a sign.

So I prayed and asked God for one.

I invited our coworkers, including her, to watch Avatar: The Way of Water at Megamall. But if I’m being honest, she was the only one I really wanted to go with. One by one, everyone said they weren’t available. Even she seemed unsure at first.

That night, I was already on a UV Express on my way home. I had paid my fare and was about to give up when I messaged her again on Teams and asked if she would still like to watch the movie.

And then she said yes.

At that moment, my heart was overflowing with joy. That was the sign I had been praying for. I told myself, “If she says yes, I will pursue her with all sincerity.”

The very next day, December 22, 2022, I confessed my feelings and asked if I could court her.

And that was the beginning of our real story.

She said yes to being my girlfriend on May 18, 2023. I remember telling her that she came into my life just before the year ended - as if she was a blessing I had been waiting for.

Since then, we have faced challenges, grown together, and learned more about love than we ever imagined. But through it all, one thing has remained constant:

Every single day, I love her more.

And today, as we stand here, I am certain that the woman I once thought was intimidating… is the same woman who made me brave, strengthened my faith, and gave my life a deeper meaning.

She was never just a coworker.

She was never just a crush.

She was the answered prayer I didn’t know I needed.

And I will choose her - again and again - for the rest of my life. ❤️
