Our Love Story
Groom POV
She was my crush back in high school. From afar, I admired her, but I never had the courage to make a move. In my mind, she was completely out of my league, and I convinced myself that someone like her would never notice someone like me.
Years passed. I graduated from college, started building my career, and yet she never really left my mind. Every year, I would send her a simple greeting, hoping that maybe one day she would reply. But year after year, there was no response.
Then one day, something unexpected happened.
She reacted to one of my social media posts.
I was completely shocked. My heart raced, and without wasting a second, I sent her a message. To my surprise, she replied. It was a simple conversation at first, but to me, it felt like a dream finally coming true.
We lived in different time zones, but that never stopped me. I would stay up until 2 a.m. talking to her, even though I had to be at work by 8 a.m. the next morning. Strangely, I never felt tired. Every conversation, every laugh, and every moment spent getting to know her was worth losing sleep over.
When we finally met in person, I knew something had changed. Looking at her, I felt a certainty I had never felt before. Deep in my heart, I told myself, “I’m going to marry this girl.”
From there, our story unfolded beautifully. We traveled together, shared countless laughs, overcame disagreements, and created memories that would last a lifetime. With every adventure, I fell more in love with her.
Then came our trip to Singapore.
Standing there with the woman I loved and her mother beside us, I knew it was the perfect moment. My heart was pounding, but I had never been more sure of anything in my life. I got down on one knee, looked into her eyes, and asked the question I had dreamed of asking for so long:
“Will you marry me?”
And with a smile that I will never forget, she said, “Yes.”
Today, we are building the life we once only dreamed about. Looking back, it still amazes me how everything happened. The girl I admired from a distance in high school, the girl I thought I could never have, is now the woman I get to spend forever with.
Who would have thought that a crush I once believed was impossible would become the greatest love story of my life?
Bride POV
It all started when I was casually scrolling through social media out of boredom. I came across one of his posts and reacted with a heart . There was no hidden meaning behind it—I simply thought it was a nice photo with great lighting. Little did I know that one small reaction would change my life.
My heart reaction caught his attention, and he sent me a message. When I checked our conversation, I discovered that he had actually messaged me two years earlier, but I never replied. Since I had some free time that day, I decided to answer him. We exchanged a few messages and realized that we were high school batchmates.
Life got busy again, and just like before, I stopped replying. He even called me several times, but I didn’t answer. Still, he never gave up. He remained persistent and consistent, always finding ways to stay connected.
One day, I finally answered his video call. The moment he saw me, his reaction was priceless. He looked genuinely shocked and happy. I remember thinking to myself, “Oh, this guy really likes me a lot.” And honestly, it made me smile.
From then on, we talked every day. Even though we were miles apart, our connection kept growing stronger. We shared stories, dreams, and countless conversations. In fact, I even booked our first trip together before we had ever met in person. At that time, we were still just friends, but deep down, something beautiful was already beginning.
Months later, he finally came home. Plane tickets were incredibly expensive, and the only available flight was to Roxas. Despite that, he booked it without hesitation. After a long flight, he still had to endure a four-hour bus ride just to see me. He arrived exhausted, but his effort spoke louder than words ever could.
That was the moment I truly realized how much love he was willing to give and how far he was willing to go for me.
And that’s how our love story began—not with grand plans, but with a simple heart reaction, unwavering persistence, and a love that chose to stay.
I know we still have a long journey ahead of us, but through every season and every distance, one thing remains certain: I will always choose him.
