Our Love  Story

They first met during a church service—Richard, already serving as a young leader, and Alysa, a newcomer quietly finding her place. Both were still teenagers, uncertain yet curious about what love truly meant. What began as simple conversations and youthful affection soon grew into something deeper.

In a short span of time, they found themselves choosing each other. But their journey was far from easy. As they were given different opportunities and responsibilities, they began to grow in their own ways—sometimes together, and sometimes apart. The distance, along with the weight of emotions and expectations, brought challenges that tested their commitment and understanding.

There came a time when they chose to let go, parting ways for a while to face their own struggles. In that season of separation, they learned to stand on their own, to grow, and to become more grounded—both in life and in faith.

In time, they found their way back to each other, choosing once again to rebuild what they had lost. They became stronger, more intentional, and more supportive—learning to be pillars for one another, guiding each other through moments of doubt.

Yet their story faced another test—this time not of emotion, but of faith. They went through a painful season where they felt misunderstood and their efforts unrecognized, leaving scars on their hearts, especially in a place they once deeply loved. Still, through that experience, they were led to a new beginning—a place of healing, peace, and quiet restoration.

Through every season—being brought together, pulled apart, and brought back again—their love was shaped into something deeper and more enduring.

And now, with hearts healed and love strengthened by every challenge they have overcome, Richard and Alysa stand hand in hand, ready to begin their forever.

With grateful hearts, they invite you to witness and celebrate their union as they say, ‘I do.’
