Our Love  Story

It all started with a simple message—one that neither of us knew would become the beginning of something beautiful:

“Thank you, Mam Anne. Welcome to RRNHS.  Good morning ”

In 2022, our paths crossed at Rapu-Rapu National High School in Albay. She was a newly-hired teacher, stepping into a life far from home, adjusting to an unfamiliar place and the quiet distance from everything she had known. He, on the other hand, had already been there for three years, used to the rhythm of island life, unaware that a simple welcome would soon mean so much more.

What began as a casual exchange turned into constant conversations. In the midst of unfamiliar days, we found comfort in each other’s presence. Simple invitations followed—barbecue by the roadside, shared laughter, and a first date at Vllanza, a humble pizzeria that would later become even more special as it’s owned by our now Ninang Vivz and Ninong Nong.

Somewhere along the way, what we had became something deeper.

In 2023, life asked us to grow in a different way when he transferred to another agency. Distance became part of our story, but it never weakened what we built. Instead, it taught us how to hold on through weekend movie dates, food trips, and little reunions that felt like home. One trip at a time, one region after another, we explored the country together creating memories in 18 regions and counting.

Through distance, through change, through every season, we chose what's constant—us.

Ours is a love grounded in faith, strengthened by distance, and made beautiful by the simplest moments. A love that started with a greeting, grew through shared days and miles apart, and continues to hold on to one dream—a happy and bountiful life together.

And now, as we begin this new chapter, we carry with us the same simple truth that started it all: sometimes, the most beautiful love stories begin with a “Good morning".
