Our Story

It all began in 2023, at a time when life felt busy and uncertain. I was in Hong Kong, working hard and building my future, never expecting that something as simple as a small gesture would change everything. Then came a quiet moment, from a desire through prayer I ask God to give me a man that would let me feel what true love is. It seemed ordinary, almost easy to overlook, but that simple desire became the beginning of something extraordinary.
I met Shawn and we started to communicate online. What followed was a conversation that never seemed to end. Day after day, message after message, I found comfort in each other’s words. Despite the distance, there was warmth, honesty, and a growing connection that neither of us could ignore.  We shared stories, dreams, laughter, and even the little details of everyday life. Slowly, what started as curiosity turned into something deeper—something real.

Distance may have separated us physically, but it only strengthened our bond. Time zones didn’t matter. Busy schedules didn’t matter.  We both made time, because what we were building felt worth it. And eventually, the day came when “someday” turned into reality.

Shawn came to the Philippines—not just to meet me personally, but to step into my world. That moment, seeing each other for the first time, was more than just a meeting. It was confirmation that everything we felt through a screen was true. It was real, and it was even more beautiful in person.

But he didn’t just meet me—he met my family. He saw where I came from, the people who shaped me, and the life I cherished. And in that moment, our love grew deeper roots. It wasn’t just about two people anymore; it became about connection, acceptance, and the blending of two lives into one shared future.

From a simple wink to a love strong enough to cross countries, our story is proof that sometimes the smallest beginnings lead to the greatest journeys. And now, as we stand on the path toward forever, our love continues to grow—grounded in faith, strengthened by distance, and made beautiful by the journey we took together.


Our love story continued to unfold in the most meaningful and beautiful way.

After a year of growing together—through distance, faith, and unwavering commitment—we reached a moment that would change our lives forever. On our first anniversary May 13, 2025 the night that marked the beginning of our journey together, he chose to ask the most important question of all.

Surrounded by the presence of our Pastors, in a place filled with faith and guidance, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever. It wasn’t just a proposal—it was a promise before God, witnessed by those who nurture us in our spiritual journey. In that sacred moment, our love was not only celebrated but also blessed.

And I said yes.

That “yes” carried with it every message, every prayer, every sacrifice, and every mile that brought us closer together. It was the answer to a love that had already proven its strength and sincerity.

Now, our story is reaching another beautiful chapter. On June 27, 2026, we will stand side by side, not just as two people in love, but as partners ready to build a life together. What started with a simple wink will become a lifelong covenant.

From Canada to the Philippines, from messages on a screen to promises at the altar—our journey is a testament to faith, patience, acceptance and true love.

And as I prepare to say “I do,” one thing is certain: this is not the end of our story.

It is the beginning of our forever because SURELY GOD MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME.
