Our Love Story
Our story began in 2019 at Philippine Airlines, where our paths first crossed in the most unexpected way. Erica was an OJT, and what started as simple, casual conversations soon became the brightest parts of ordinary days. In between work and quiet moments, we found comfort in each other’s presence—sharing stories, laughter, and even a borrowed Percy Jackson book—unaware that something beautiful was already unfolding.
When her OJT ended around May 2019, life led us down separate paths. Yet, in its own perfect timing, it brought us back together. One simple message after her graduation reconnected us, and from there, conversations flowed effortlessly—late nights, endless laughter, and a connection that felt both natural and certain. It was then we realized that what we felt had been there from the very beginning.
Not long after, I pursued her with sincerity and hope, and on August 2019, she said yes—and we became us.
From that day on, we began writing our story together—one filled with shared passions, quiet joys, and meaningful adventures. She loves sinigang and mystery stories, while I enjoy isekai and sci‑fi. Along the way, we discovered a shared love for travel—and for Japan, a place that would become deeply woven into our journey.
From our first trip to Boracay in 2019, to exploring places like Coron, Baguio, and Cebu, each journey became a chapter—memories etched not just in places, but in each other. Even during the uncertain times of 2020–2021, when the world slowed down, our love remained steady—growing stronger through patience, faith, and choosing each other every day.
Then, in January 2025, in a quiet park by the lake, with Mt. Fuji standing serenely in the background, I asked her to spend forever with me—and in that unforgettable moment, she said yes.
Now, as we prepare for our wedding in 2026, we look back with gratitude on every moment that led us here—the simple beginnings, the unexpected turns, the laughter, the distance, the journeys, and the love that never stopped growing.
Though our travels may pause for now, we know that we are about to begin the greatest journey of all—one that will last a lifetime.
“I have found the one whom my soul loves.” — Song of Solomon 3:4
