God ’s Written Love Story

In September 2023, during a workshop in Albuera, some colleagues teased me about introducing me to someone who had a crush on me. Curious, I glanced across the room and found a tall, handsome man with a kind and gentle face. I was intrigued, but being a dalagang Filipina, I never approached him, nor did he approach me. Three days passed, and we still had not spoken. That evening, I finally gathered the courage to send him a Facebook friend request but canceled it immediately after a sudden wave of embarrassment. Yet those few seconds of bravery were enough, Von immediately sent me a message, and our conversations slowly grew into something beautiful.

He later revealed that two months earlier, in July 2023, during a training in Palo, Leyte, he had first seen me, the remarkable, beautiful girl with the brightest smile in the room. He asked about me but didn’t pursue, assuming I was no longer available. He was mesmerized, yet he kept his distance. I had no idea he had noticed me, but God did.

As someone who fears the Lord, I told him, “If you’re serious, pursue God first and meet me in church this Sunday.” I didn’t want to expect anything, but I searched for his face across the church that day and there he was. My heart was filled with warmth, and my mind whispered, “Lord, is he The One?”

As we grew closer, I asked him to seek permission from my parents and church mentors. We came from different religious backgrounds—he was Catholic, and I am a born-again Christian raised by both ministers, but instead of dividing us, God used our differences to draw us closer and teach us what true love looks like: patient, sacrificial, and God-centered.

Life tested us in 2024 when Von’s mother passed away after surgery. Grief and financial burdens forced us to postpone our wedding. Yet, through the sorrow, God taught us to wait, trust, and love faithfully, even when our dreams were delayed.

Now, in 2026, we prepare to marry, fully trusting God’s timing. We commit to each other in purity, honor, and faith, believing that our union is more than love, it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace...

We kindly ask for your understanding that this will be an intimate, invitation-only gathering. Only those whose names appear on the official guest list will be permitted entry.

We would greatly appreciate your response on or before July 30, 2026.

  • I previously responded “NO” to the RSVP, but my plans have changed and I am now able to attend. What should I do next?

    • We kindly ask that you check with us first, as we are working with a fixed guest list.
    • Please let us know if your schedule becomes available, and we will do our best to accommodate you if possible.
    • Should additional seats open up, we will inform you as soon as we can.
    • We respectfully request that guests do not attend without prior confirmation, as seating is limited.
  • Do we still need to send an RSVP even though we’ve already confirmed our attendance with the couple personally?

YES, please. We kindly ask for your formal RSVP so we can properly consolidate our guest list and finalize the headcount for catering, seating arrangements, and other event preparations. Your response will greatly help us in organizing the celebration smoothly and comfortably for everyone.

  • Will there be parking provided for my vehicle at the venue?

Yes, parking will be available for all guests at the venue. We kindly encourage everyone to arrive on time, as spaces may be limited.

  • What would be the most appropriate time for us to take our leave?

We have spent months thoughtfully preparing this event, and it means so much to us to celebrate this special occasion with the people closest to our hearts. We truly hope you enjoy every moment with us, and we warmly invite you to stay and celebrate until the very end of the program.

  • Am I allowed to bring a “plus one” to the celebration?

While we would truly love to celebrate with all our friends and family, we are limited to a fixed number of guests. We kindly ask for your understanding that this event is strictly by invitation only.

Please refer to your invitation for the number of seats reserved in your honor. For the comfort and proper accommodation of all guests, only those included on the official guest list will be permitted entry.

  • What should I do if I have already RSVP’d but later find out that I’m unable to attend?

We would truly love to celebrate this special day with you, but we completely understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. If you find that you are unable to attend after confirming your RSVP, we kindly ask that you inform us as soon as possible so we may offer your reserved seat(s) to other guests.

  • Will there be assigned seating at the ceremony and reception, or may guests choose their own seats?

We kindly ask everyone to follow the assigned seating arrangement at the ceremony and reception. A great deal of thought, time, and careful planning was put into arranging the seats to ensure the comfort and convenience of all our guests. Rest assured that you will be seated with friends, family, or guests with similar connections and interests.

  • Will guests be permitted to take photos and videos during the wedding ceremony?

We request everyone to keep the ceremony camera-free. While our I Do’s are unplugged, our reception is not and definitely as a couple who loves pictures, you’ll get tons of options to take your pictures. We prepared for this event wholeheartedly.
